The state was governed by a provisional government. In 1918, July 10, the first constitution, the Constitution of the RSFSR, was proclaimed. According to it, the legislative body was the All-Russian Central Executive Committee. On January 31, 1924, the Constitution of the USSR was proclaimed. The USSR lasted until 1991. after its destruction, the Russian Federation was formed, whose president was Boris Yeltsin.
