Mecca. Black stone of Muslims

One of the stunning imaginations and mindssights of Mecca should be considered a flat stone of the Kaaba. He is in the famous Kaaba Temple. As the legend of the Arabs says, this temple was built for Adam - the first of the people. He was very sad about the loss of paradise and the temple that was there. Then the Lord took pity on him and gave him a copy of the heavenly temple, sending her down to earth from heaven. After the flood the building and its place were lost.

The Prophet Abraham re-erected this building.And that he quickly built the Temple, the angel Jabrail brought him a flat stone that hung in the air and could perform the function of forests. This stone is now in the temple, so every believer can see on it the imprint of the feet of Abraham (Ibrahim).

Why did the stone turn black?

As the legend says, a black stone appearedwhen Abraham almost finished the construction of the Kaaba. He at that time needed a subject that would have meant a place where could begin the ritual circumambulate the temple. Since the angels in heaven and Adam bypassed seven times around the temple, then Abraham wanted to do the same. For this reason, the angel Jabrail gave him a black stone.

One of the versions says that the black stone isthe converted guardian angel of Adam. He was turned into stone after he missed the fall of Adam. When the black stone of the Kaaba descended from the sky to the ground, it all glowed bright white.

Gradually, the sins of people turned him into a dark cobblestone, until he completely darkened. The composition of this artifact to the scientist is still unknown.

Some believe that this is a piece of unknownscience of volcanic rock. Others believe that it is a large meteorite that fell not far from the place where the Kaaba is located. The black stone from this, of course, does not become less attractive, gathering near to itself not only believers, but also crowds of tourists.

After all, this stone is associated with many interestingdepth and originality of stories. Once, when it was necessary to repair the Kaaba, each of the Quraish families wanted to have the honor of transferring the famous relic. Because of this, a fierce dispute arose between them. Mohammed solved the problem in an interesting way. He spread his cloak on the floor, put a black stone there, and each of the elders of noble families, taking over his land, transferred the cloak to a new place. So Mohammed resolved the dispute.

It is also interesting that Muslims believe inthe remission of sins after visiting Mecca. They call this pilgrimage "hajj" and wear white turbans as a sign of it. Perhaps, everyone should touch at least a little to the purity and beauty of the Kaaba, visiting a mysterious Mecca.
