Life expectancy of a person

Since ancient times, people have dreamed of buyingimmortality. On the search for life-giving elixirs folded legends, artifacts that give immortality, looking for heroes and rulers of states. And even the well-known science of alchemy was engaged in the search for the philosopher's stone, which, in addition to turning everything into gold, had another, no less important function: it gave immortality to man.

Naturally, all legends and myths were based onreal (to a greater or lesser extent) events, the purpose of which was to increase the life expectancy of a person, to make him, if not immortal, then at least a long-liver.

Oddly enough, little has changed in life.After all, modern medicine is essentially to strive for exactly the same thing - increasing life expectancy, saving people from various diseases. And the persistence of people in the field of searching for a cure for death already has a truly manic character. Do not believe? Then remember the people who donate their bodies for preservation "until better times", turn to African shamans and even, in their opinion, sell their souls to the devil. These methods are radical, but not always bring really visible and significant results.

But as always happens in the most difficult issues,The answer lies on the surface and is quite simple: a person’s lifespan directly depends on his living conditions, profession, body condition and health care. And of course, old age is an inevitable process, but anyone can do something to slow it down, sometimes quite significantly. This can be done, for example, with special drugs that slow down the aging process.

In general, life expectancy is only 30%.caused by genetics, the remaining 70% go exactly to the factors of the environment and lifestyle. That is, more specifically, it depends on such factors as:

  • ecology (it is proved that the average life expectancy in countries with a better ecology is much longer than in polluted ones);
  • sleep mode (a person needs to sleep between 6 and 9 hours a day, less or more is already harmful, and it is desirable that sleep be at night);
  • nutrition (scientists have shown that a person on a low-calorie diet slows down the development of atherosclerosis significantly and has a longer lifespan);
  • physical culture (sports affect the overall condition of the body);
  • the presence of diseases, immunity (people with weakimmunities put their bodies at risk of acquiring various diseases, the presence of the same diseases significantly affects the lifetime, for example, the life expectancy of HIV-infected people is much lower than that of healthy people);
  • economic component (people with high incomes in any country of the world live longer).

So, if you follow all the "laws"longevity, its longevity anyone can increase. If we talk about records, then you should name one French woman who lived 122 years and 164 days, thereby setting a record for the duration of life recorded scientifically. In Russia, a record time lived one resident of Yakutia, whose life expectancy was more than 117 years. Their secret was simple: they led a healthy lifestyle, did not overeat, were engaged in physical culture, went to bed early and got up early. If you follow these simple rules, you can easily enter into an ever-expanding list of long-livers.

It's not about alchemy and not even about African shamans:we (as in almost any life situation) ourselves take on the role of the blacksmiths of our happiness and our life. If you want to live long, start taking care of it right now. It is unlikely that it will be possible to get rich right now or move to a more ecologically clean area, but no one bothers to do sports or change your diet.
