The partisan movement in the Bryansk region is a separate page in the military history of our country. Partisans of this legendary region in 1941-1943 covered themselves with unfading glory.
Guerrilla Territory
Bryansk itself was occupied by the Germans on October 6, 1941of the year. Many people, if not all of the region's inhabitants, rose to liberate their native land. More than 60,000 people took part in the partisan movement, of which 8,000 were women. In 1942, 31 formations were formed from numerous disparate detachments: one artillery regiment, 27 brigades and 3 Ukrainian partisan detachments.
Legendary place
In memory of those unforgettable events, about the victims, brought by partisans in the name of the Great Victory, many memorial complexes were erected on the territory of Russia - for example, "Partisan Glade". Bryansk is a city in which this memorial became the main attraction. It was at this place in September 1941, before the Nazi occupation itself, that a general gathering of the Bryansk detachments was conducted, and an oath to fight for the liberation of our Motherland was given. At the end of the summer and the whole of the first month of autumn, the base of those units was created, which, operating behind the enemy lines, would destroy over 100,000 German soldiers and officers, 226 armored vehicles and destroy 120 aircraft in two years. Some time after the war, namely in 1968-1969, the construction of the memorial complex "Partisan Glade" was started. Bryansk in 2010 became the city of military glory. This title was appropriated to the settlement including the feat of the partisans. Directly at the site of the complex, located near the village of Belye Berega, during the war there was a detachment's parking, commander of which was Dmitry Kravtsov. At the same place in the autumn the first battle took place with the German-fascist invaders, and at this point the partisans won their first victory.
The exact choice of the architect
Local architect V.N.Gorodkov became the author of the "Partisan Glade" complex. Bryansk owed him not only a memorial that glorified the city throughout the country. In this settlement there are several other objects built according to its projects: the House of Books and the building of the regional library, the Central Department Store and the Mound of Immortality. In addition, the revival of the monuments of church culture began precisely on his initiative. With the direct participation of VN Gorodkov, the Resurrection and Petropavlovsk, Spaso-Grobovskaya and Tikhvin churches were restored. This well-known architect and patriot of the city was entrusted with the construction of the grandiose complex "Partisan Glade". Bryansk was rebuilt after the war by the efforts of enthusiasts, among whom Vasily Nikolaevich was the most active participant. In memory of him on the building of the central library there is a memorial plaque.
Meeting point
12 kilometers east of Bryansk, on the shoreSnezheti, traditionally there are all the underground and partisans of Russia and the CIS countries. This annual meeting is now taking place on the Day of All Partisans and Underground Workers, officially approved by the government of the Russian Federation in 2009. The holiday is celebrated on June 29. A beautiful complex was erected in honor of the 25th anniversary of the liberation of Bryansk from the invaders. In the work on the memorial, in addition to the architect VN Gorodkov, the sculptors N. Kozlov and G. Kovalenko took part.
The central objects of the memorial
The central obelisk is a 20-meter pylon-banner standing on the hill. It has the silhouette of VI Lenin, and the quotation of the leader of communism about the justice of the war of liberation has been knocked out.
In addition to the obelisk, the Memorial "Partisan Glade" (Bryansk, the map is attached) includes several other objects located on a fairly large area.
Right in front of the pylon mentioned, just belowSquare, paved with large concrete slabs, there is a "partisan" bonfire. It is built of cast-iron logs, gas is supplied to it. The fire is always on fire, and the fire is incredibly similar to the real one.
The Stela card and the Wall of Mourning
Directly behind the pylon is a stele cardBryansk region, indicating the centers of partisan movement. In front of the pylon is a huge Memory Wall with 8,000 surnames of partisans who did not survive until Victory Day. In the beginning there are surnames of entire guerrilla families - Vasina, Golovanov, Danmuny, Demochkin and then in alphabetical order ... This huge Wall of sorrow does not leave anyone indifferent (author - A.Kobelinets). At its foot are the busts of the partisans of the heroes of the Soviet Union. By the first holiday - the Day of Partisan - many of the objects were reconstructed and restored. For example, dugouts and turpentine factory. Separately there are marble steles, dedicated to the brigades of them. Kravtsov and Shchors. To them from the central obelisk lead the path, they lead to the dugouts, and to other exhibits of the memorial.
The Museum
Individual objects of the complex were completed in morelater years. So, in 1977 the museum was opened. One of the most interesting of his exhibits is the diorama "Explosion of the Blue Bridge". The bridge with a two-way traffic through the Desna was painted blue. On it to the front were hundreds of German echelons. The blue bridge was ordered to explode. And on March 8, 1943, the command was executed by Bryansk partisans. This operation is one of the most important.
Other properties
In 1981, the complex wasAll-Union meeting of all the underground members and partisans was held, the participants of which was the Alley of Memory. In 2007, the memorial complex "Partisan Glade" was replenished with an exposition of military equipment. There is an artificial lake on the territory of the complex.
