Such a concept as non-governmentalThe organization first emerged in the mid-twentieth century, when after the end of the Second World War, the old world underwent significant changes, and the newly emerged United Nations asserted its basic principles and principles. In 1968, at a regular meeting of the UN General Assembly, a provision was adopted governing the activities of such organizations, and a definition was also given. In accordance with this, non-governmental international organizations are any world-class organizational structures that are created outside of an intergovernmental agreement and are not engaged in making profit. In addition, such an organization must have consultative status, be recognized by a number of states, receive money from more than one country, and also be established on the basis of a constituent act.
The first organizations of this type weremainly religious institutions that attracted young people from all over the world to their ranks, proclaiming the basic principles of love and brotherhood for all of humanity. In addition, non-governmental organizations of educational type, which served as the beginning of the international activities of higher educational institutions, received great development. Amid the tensions of the post-war period and the height of the Cold War, pacifist associations began to be created that fought for world peace and sought a legal ban on any military actions.
Among the many social formations can beto highlight such famous organizations as the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), the International Law Association, the International Association of Criminal Law, the International Institute for Humanitarian Law and many others. Non-governmental organizations have a sufficiently significant status, since in order to receive this status, any association must prove its practical usefulness in exerting a positive influence on other countries, since only in this case it will receive worldwide recognition.
Today in the world there are over 8 thousandinternational organizations that have a significant impact on both the economic development of states and the social and spiritual development of the population throughout the world. Every year they are gaining more and more popularity, being regarded as spokesmen for public opinion and contributing to the improvement of the civil consciousness of society. In modern Russia there are also similar organizations that have a great influence not only on society, but also on the state itself. The fact is that many nongovernmental organizations of Russia lobby their interests through certain individuals who sit in the State Duma, as a result of which the state apparatus itself is exposed to indirect influence. Among such public structures in Russia, it is worth mentioning Solidarity, Strategy 31, New Eurasia, and so on. In total in our country there are over 550 thousand public associations, where non-governmental organizations are engaged in their activities. However, things are not so simple here, since many of them work under cover and are covertly funded by US state departments. It is for this reason that scandals occasionally arise in Russia over the accusation of a program, which is conducted by a non-governmental organization in covertly lobbying the interests of the overseas power. Many such accusations are simply impossible to prove, therefore the truth can be found only by circumstantial evidence and evidence.
In conclusion, it should be said that manyinternational nongovernmental organizations have a beneficial effect on the historical course of events, since they bring into our society the ideals of decency, mutual respect, respect for human rights and their civil liberties.
