Sooner or later, almost every employer is faced with the fact that he needs to make a characterization of the employee. But what should it look like and what should be specified in this document?
The document must contain the following data:
- Full name of the employee, date of birth. Also, indicate what kind of education he received, provide a complete list of educational institutions that he graduated from.
- The next item that should containcharacteristics of the employee - the name of the company or organization where it was compiled, lists the positions occupied by the person at work, and his professional duties.
- Positive qualities are listed (both personal and professional), data on incentives and rewards.
- Information is provided on the refresher courses passed by the employee. In the same paragraph, we can mention the projects of the company in which he took part.
- It is necessary to say for what purpose the characteristic is given.
- At the end of the document, the date of its compilation, the signature of the responsible person, and the seal of the organization should be indicated.
With the writing of a positive characteristic, as a rule, problems do not arise at all. Everything is much more complicated if you need a negative characterization of the employee.
Of course, in the official document you do notwrite something like "snoring on the whole office" or "ate the chips at work and did not share it." It is important to remember that you are responsible for the content of the characteristic. Therefore, it should be objective to the maximum, and your opinion - is supported by concrete facts.
It is best if the negative characterization of the employee is documented. There must necessarily be references to documented misconduct, examples of negligence, etc.
You must specify the numbers of all internal documents.
Do not include in the characteristics of data that can be characterized as gossip, rumors or your personal opinion.
