The famous impresario, who often spent holidays at the resort, was eager to decorate his favorite vacation spot with an architectural work in the style of an ancient castle. He also came up with a story about the tragic love of the Spanish soldier and the Indian girl who committed suicide after she was married against her will.
Now in the tower, which was attached to the bridge, connecting the landmark with the sea, opened a candy store, which has become extremely fashionable in the resort.
Water tower
On top of the Stella Maris hill stands anotherThe tower is a water tower, opened 74 years ago. Built in the style of medieval fortresses, it is the most recognizable monument of the modern city. The stone tower, which looks very unusual, also serves as a viewing platform where there can be 50 people at a time.
