The city of Rudny (Kazakhstan) is the offspring of the SovietUnion. In 1955, according to the decision of the Council of Ministers of the USSR in Kazakhstan, on the basis of Sokolovsky and Sarbai deposits of magnetite ores, the construction of a mining and processing plant began.
