Afk, feeder, lalka - what is this abracadabra? Short excursion into youth slang

Today in our country Russian languageundergoes not the most positive changes, not supported by grammatical norms, but supported by a large part of the population. This trend is most noticeable among young people, and this fact is especially vividly manifested in the global network.

In social networks, forums, online games andOther points of contact of the younger generation give birth to a new, flawed language, baptized "Albanian": it includes distorted words written with deliberate mistakes: yad, afftar, subcrudes and so on.

Subsequently from this trend (often in the realm ofonline gaming), something completely unimaginable has emerged: “afakashit”, “feed”, “noob”, “lalka”. What does this mean? If the previous words could still be somehow understood, then a person who is not used in youth slang can only spread his hands.

Most often, these expressions are rooted inEnglish words or abbreviations. So, "afakashit" came from the English afk (Away From Keyboard, moved away from the keyboard) and means that the young man will move away from the computer for a while. "Feed" came from the English feed - "feed" and refers to the process of repeatedly losing battles to enemies. In this case, the winners receive money and experience, "eating off" in this way on the feeder.

Initially in various chat rooms was distributeda combination of letters like lol. It was used in smiles (pictures that help express feelings) and meant "laughing out loud" (laughing out loud). Subsequently, communicating with the help of means where the smiles were not provided (sms, e-mail and even oral speech), the youth began to simply use these letters, assuming that the interlocutor would easily remember the right picture and correctly understand the emotions. So LOL flowed into "lol", from which the word "Lolka" was born, meaning "the one that made you laugh."

Then this expression is influenced by somepublic dubious content flowed into "lalka". What has this word come to mean now? The closest synonyms are "jester", "clown". That is, today the word “lalka” has the following meaning: a funny, stupid, pitiful person. This is how the expression itself and its essence changed.

I hope you now clear the current state of affairsrelatively "lalka" - that this is an offensive jargon of negative coloring. But that's not all. Often, in the expanses of the global network, you can stumble upon the phrase “Sasai Lalka”, the meaning of which is embarrassing to voice in a decent society. I will allow myself to notice only the fact that originally “Lalka” was a female word (the representatives of the stronger sex were commonly called “Lolik”) and only later began to denote both girls and boys. A "Sasai" is built according to all, if I may say so, the rules of the Albanian language. Any Russian, a little straining, will be able to understand what meaning it carries.

Thus, the expression "Sasai Lalka" is a rude and indecent proposal to perform a certain action, which is considered offensive and indecent by fans of youth jargon.
