Airplanes are here today - tomorrow they are no longer there, but the Russian presence remains, and in which region? In the Middle East, where the main trade routes between the East and the West pass. Aviation Base Hamiye in Syria has not so much strategic as political importance for Russia. Military base or base?
The agreement by which the Khmeimim airbase appeared in Russia was signed in August 2015.
