The inspection was conducted jointly with the chairperson.of NOVATEK’s Board of Directors, Leonid Mikhelson, and Yamal LNG General Director, Yevgeny Kot. The delegates were accompanied by the leaders of the VELESSTROY company: the first vice-president Kresimir Filipovich and the general director Zlatko Penic. During his visit to the peninsula, the Minister examined the main objects - the LNG plant and tanks. Following the results of the bypass, Alexander Novak noted a good pace of construction.

Since 2013, Velesstroy LLC has been carrying out a range of works on the Yamal LNG project as a contractor. For the company VINCI conducted industrial engineering unique structures - four cryogenicstorage tanks for liquefied natural gas of 160,000 cubic meters each. For the customer, “South Tambey LNG”, the LNG plant construction project, construction workshops, office buildings, industrial base and entrance structures are being implemented. The company is also engaged in the construction of residential towns on the peninsula for the customer Yamal LNG.

The location of the field opens up forThe Russian Federation is a convenient way to supply gas to the countries of the Asian Pacific Region and the European Union. The success of the project is guaranteed: contracts for gas supply with 25 years have already been signed with China, India and Spain.
