Hereditary Gypsy Alexander Marcinkevichwas born in 1967. The boy's childhood passed under the melodic tinkling of a tambourine and multisyllabic guitar chords, because he grew up among musicians, in an atmosphere of gypsy song folklore. Sasha wholeheartedly longed for music, and when he grew up, he learned to play on the drum, and then on the guitar. He sang well, at the age of 13 he tried to compose his own compositions.
The appearance of the "Cabriolet"
Alexander Martsinkevich in the early ninetiessided with the gypsy team "Mirikle", who worked in restaurants, from time to time played at weddings. Alexander was burdened by his position, work did not bring satisfaction. And in 1994 the musician brought together a group of like-minded people to create an ensemble of gypsy songs. So the group "Cabriolet" appeared. "Rose White" - a song written much later - will become the visiting card of the collective.
First step
Alexander Marcinkiewicz's path to the best of hissongs, the path is long, but truly creative. Today the phrase "Convertible - White Rose" or "Convertible - Chains" is familiar to all fans of the musician. Since 1995, "Cabriolet" participated in song competitions and festivals, which enabled the group to show itself to the general public and win popularity. At the festival of gypsy music in 1996 in Poland, "Cabriolet" received the Grand Prix. At the same time, the musicians recorded their first album "Moret", songs from which lasted for about a year at the highest levels of the musical rating, and one of them was filmed. However, all this was happening in Poland. And in Russia they did not immediately realize what kind of group this "Convertible" was. The "white rose" was not yet written.
The main milestones of creativity
Russian recording studios did not darerelease the disc "Moret", since all the songs on it were in the Gypsy language. I had to reconsider the direction of creativity. Later, Alexander Martsinkevich formed a repertoire of songs with Russian text. The group's popularity curve went up. From now on the group "Cabriolet", the song "The White Rose" and other songs in Russian were heard by the general public. The next contest for the "Cabriolet" was the Moscow Variety Song Festival of 1997. And in 1999 the gypsy team became a laureate of the "Silver key" pop contest in St. Petersburg. Gradually formed the image of the group "Cabriolet". "White Rose" and other songs by Alexander Marcinkevich were waiting for their time.
Main event
But a real milestone in the work of the already popularensemble "Cabriolet" became the International festival of gypsy art called "At the turn of the century" chaired by Nikolai Slichenko. The festival-concert turned into a real extravaganza with the participation of 300 collectives. The College of Judges selected the top 30 performers, among them was the "Cabriolet", which received the Gold Medal. After the festival "At the turn of the century", Alexander Martsinkevich received an unofficial title "People's Gypsy", his popularity rose to the top of the public recognition. Of course, the musician shares his success with his native band "Cabriolet". "White Rose", "Black Horse", "Chains", "Where are you waiting for me" and many other songs do not leave the first positions of numerous music ratings.
