The maternity leave, the payment of which can be obtained, begins several months before the birth and lasts 3 years from the moment of the appearance of the child.

The first one begins maternity leave.For moms waiting for one baby, its duration is 140 days (starts with 30 weeks of pregnancy). In the case of complications in labor, it increases to 156 days. But if twins or more children are expected, the length of leave is 194 days. At the same time, it will be possible to finish with work already on the 28th week of pregnancy. Next comes the leave to take care of the child, which is paid up to the age of one and a half years of the baby, and up to three years you receive only a monthly 50-ruble compensation. The greatest number of questions arise precisely for the first period.

Thus, women who receive a fairly large salary, going on maternity leave, lose money, namely, if in the billing period it exceeded the values ​​(basis for calculation):

  • for 2010 and earlier years - 415,000 rubles;
  • in 2011 - 463,000 rubles;
  • in 2012 - 512,000 rubles.

A bit different is the situation with those whose total work experience is less than 6 months. For them, the amount of payment for one month will be equal to 4661 rubles.

Maternity leave - benefits for a child under 1.5 years of age

The second stage of the “decree” is childcare leave, the minimum wage for which is 2,453.93 rubles per month for the first baby, 4907.85 for the second and subsequent.

The allowance for all others is defined as 40% of the average salary for two years (calculated as in the case of maternity leave), its maximum is limited to 16,241.14 rubles.

Maternity leave: extra payouts

A small compensation can be obtained for early registration for pregnancy. When a child is born, an allowance in the amount of 12,405.32 rubles is paid once.

Mother, in whom the second baby was born, has the right to receive a one-time maternity capital, the amount of which in 2013 is equal to 408960.50 rubles.
