And if in the northern regions of Russia they say that honeysuckle is a jam that brings strength and strengthens immunity, then we, in the central and southern regions, have our own proven remedy - red currant!

And the berries themselves in pure form, and red jamcurrants contain a huge amount of pectins, which help prevent the occurrence of respiratory viral diseases, increase weakened immunity and eliminate toxins and slags from the human body, while simultaneously preventing the development of inflammatory processes in the gastrointestinal tract.

In cooking, it is prepared not only famousall kissels and fruit drinks, but also jam. The latter, in turn, has a special delicious aroma and is very often taken with a cold as a febrifuge.

But above all, red currant is, of course, an amazing delicacy, capable of hitting even the most capricious gourmets with its taste.

And to prepare such a jam is not at all difficult; for this you will only need to adhere to this recipe step by step.

So, red currant: jam. List of ingredients:

  • berries - 1 kg;
  • granulated sugar - 1 kg;
  • water - ½ cup;
  • Vanillin - 1 sachet.

1. First of all, remember that you only need large berries, because You can cook really tasty redcurrant jam only using large-fruited varieties.

2Rinse the berries well under running water and separate the seeds from them. Then for drying it is recommended to lay them out in one layer on a previously prepared clean and dry towel or paper.

3While the currant dries, in the meantime, pour sugar into the basin and pour the required amount of water. This sweet mass is recommended to bring to a boil over low heat. Stir constantly, until sugar is completely dissolved.

four.After that, it is time to pour the already dried berry into the bowl and thoroughly shake up all its contents. It is recommended to cook on medium heat. After boiling, wait about 20 minutes and taste your delicacy. To check whether the dish is ready, experienced chefs recommend doing the following: tilt the spoon and observe. If the syrup is well kept, it means that the jam is ready. If not, try boiling for a few more minutes and add sugar. Vanillin can be added to the already prepared red currant jam to impart a more refined taste.
