Any recipe for herring oil includes two preparatory stages:1) remove a pack of butter from the fridge, 2) cut the herring into fillets. There are, however, also such prescriptions that recommend using for this dish not fish meat, but its caviar or milk. Many recipes involve passing the fillet three times through a meat grinder or grinding in a blender. But empirically, users came to the conclusion that small pieces of fish in oil look and eat better than a pasty mass. Therefore, we recommend that the main ingredient finely cut (or shred - who succeeds).

A slice of white loaf pour a small amountof milk. Apple peel and seeds and grate on a fine grater. Peel the onion, chop finely and fry in butter until soft. Chop half of herring (1 fillet) and mix with the above ingredients. While stirring, combine with 100 g of softened butter, add a pinch of black pepper, nutmeg, sugar and 2 spoons of sunflower oil. Beat with a wooden spatula until fluffy. Put on the edge of the foil or cling film, roll into a roll, put in the fridge for an hour.
