IRS 19. Instruction

The preparation "IRS 19" is included in the groupimmunostimulating drugs of bacterial origin. The drug helps to increase nonspecific and specific immunity. The medicine IRS 19 is available in the form of an aerosol for intranasal (in the nose) application.

When the drug is sprayed, the mucosa is coverednasal cavity. This provokes a rapid development of the local immune response. A specific reaction is associated with local-forming antibodies belonging to the class of secretory A-type immunoglobulins that prevent the propagation of infectious agents on the mucosa.

The effect of the drug is noted mainly in the upper region of the respiratory tract. On the systemic absorption of medicament data for today are absent.

For adults and children over three months oldthe drug is prescribed as a prophylaxis for chronic bronchial pathologies and the upper respiratory tract. The aerosol IRS 19 can be used for the treatment of chronic and acute illnesses such as tracheitis, sinusitis, rhinitis, laryngitis, bronchitis, tonsillitis, pharyngitis and others associated with the bronchi and upper respiratory tract. The medication is prescribed to restore local immune defense after the flu or other viral infections that have been carried over recently. In addition, the drug is indicated in preparation for planned surgical interventions for ENT organs and in the postoperative period.

One dose of the drug is equal to a short press of the atomizer.

For preventive purposes, children (from three months)and adults are assigned to each nostril at a dose twice a day for fourteen days. It is recommended to start the course two to three weeks before the probable increase in the incidence.

In the treatment of acute and chronic pathologies inbronchus and upper respiratory tract patients is prescribed: from three months to three years in each nostril by dose of the drug twice, patients older than three years, as well as adults, the dose of the drug is injected into each nostril from two to five times. The treatment course continues until the signs of infection disappear. The introduction of the drug is recommended after preliminary cleansing from the mucous discharge (barking).

In the preoperative and postoperative periodchildren and adults are prescribed one dose twice a day in each nostril for two weeks. The course is recommended to start one week before the scheduled surgical intervention.

Immediately before using the aerosol on the balloon, you should put on the nozzle, center it, gently, without effort, press. After these manipulations, the drug can be used.

With the introduction of "IRS 19" instruction recommendskeep the bottle strictly vertical. The patient should not toss the head back. When the cylinder is tilted, the propellant (sputtering agent) may leak out and the preparation will thus become unusable.

With regular use, it is not recommended to remove the nozzle.

In the absence of use fora blockage of the outlet in the nozzle may occur. As a rule, this happens when its (nozzle) is removed and placed in a package with the top edge down, without rinsing or drying it beforehand. In this case, before entering the aerosol, several clicks should be made in succession. The liquid in this case must pass under the influence of excessive pressure. If this does not happen, the nozzle should be immersed in warm water for a few minutes.
