Nikolay Nikolaevich Kruglov was born in Nizhny Novgorod in April 1981. He comes from a sports dynasty. His father is a titled Soviet biathlete.

Sport in the life of Nicholas has always been.From the age of two he was standing on skis. All childhood was engaged in the section of tennis, but these activities did not bring the boy pleasure, he often skipped, and then completely abandoned the sport.

Since good results immediately began to appear, a year later the boy was identified in the school of the Olympic reserve. His coach was Yuri Kuzmin.

In the eleventh grade, Kruglov won his first title, becoming the champion of Russia among youths (in cross-country skiing). It was then that he clearly decided for himself that he wanted to play sports professionally.

From 1999 to 2010, Nikolay Kruglov performed inbiathlon First for the youth team of Russia, then for the main one. After the end of his sports career for some time he worked in the press service of the airline "UTair". Then in 2014, he headed the corporate communications department at the same company.
