Childhood and youth
The future athlete was born in 1968in Achinsk. She was a rather large child, and her parents decided to give her up to play sports. The choice was made in favor of running. At first the girl practiced for her health, but then Anatoly Volkov noticed her and invited her to her section. An experienced coach immediately realized that the little runner has great potential. He began to work with her, and soon became convinced that he was not mistaken.
She showed really good results andstood out vividly against peers. The coach and the young athlete perfectly understood that she needed to go to the capital in order to fully realize her talent. Masterkova Svetlana arrived in Moscow as one of the most promising athletes of the Krasnoyarsk Territory. But Pavel Litovchenko did not want to train her. The man was sure that there was no perspective due to the fact that he found the weight in the runner, which was not there before. The girl did not worry about the refusal, because she very quickly began working with Yakov Emelyanov. Cooperation began in 1987.
Career
After moving to the capital begins careerprofessional runner. For some time she performs in small tournaments, but does not win anything serious. Already in 1991 Masterkova Svetlana will get the gold of the championship of the Union. This meant that the athlete should go to the world championship, which will be held in Japan. She was not expected to win this tournament. Alas, the girl became only the eighth.
From 1992 to 1993, the young runner was "chased"injuries. Because of this, she could not perform normally, and therefore won only a few awards, including silver of the continental championship. It so happened that in 1994, the athlete decides to make a pause in his career.
