Matyuidi was born on April 9, 1987 in Franceto the family of Angolan immigrants. At six, he joined the football academy of the small club Fontenay. There he spent five years, until in 1998 he moved to another club, Vincennes. At the new place, he stayed for another three years, in 2000, enrolling in a prestigious football school called “Clarefontaine”. While the young talent was engaged there, he moved to the base of the club “Créteil”, for which he played at the youth level for three years. And only in 2004, he entered the system of professional club Troy, speaking in the second division. A year later, Blaise Matyuidi concluded a professional agreement with the club, having already managed to play two games for the main team at the age of seventeen. In Troy, the midfielder spent another two years as a professional player, having entered the field 66 times and scored four goals. Then he was spotted by a large French club Saint-Etienne, who in 2007 paid five million euros for his young talent.

Football player Blaise Matyuidi was definitelytalented, but at that time no one thought that he would fly to great heights. A club like Saint-Etienne was considered the limit for him - and the midfielder was glad that he moved there. Already from the first season, he became the player of the base, having played 37 matches in a new club T-shirt. In total, Matyuidi played for Saint-Etienne for four years, and during that time he appeared on the field 154 times in all tournaments, including 9 matches in European competition. He scored only three goals, but it was quite a reasonable explanation - as was said earlier, Matuidi is a defensive type of midfielder, and at that time he played the defensive position. With his game he attracted the attention of the strongest club of France “PSG”, to whom no one was in a hurry to compete - on the world stage Matuidi was unknown.

However, in the Parisian club Matuidi, despitethat he was not a top talent, they immediately gave place to the base, thanks to which he was able to develop. As a result, in the first two years, he became a fairly reliable player in the base, and after three he was considered one of the best midfielders in France and was slowly approaching the summit he had long sought. After a slight decline in the 14/15 season, Matyuidi made a sudden dash and by 2015 was already considered a top player. At the same time for five years in the PSG, he played 237 matches, scoring 26 goals in them. This season, he entered the field 11 times, scoring one goal and giving an assist.
National team appearances
For the French team Matuidi debuted back in 2011the year when he played for Saint-Etienne. In the end, Blaise went to the European Championship 2012, but spent all the matches on the bench. At the World Championships in 2014, he was already the main player of the national team, spent all five games, four of which were without a substitute, and scored one goal - against Switzerland. In October 2014, he first brought the national team to a match with the captain's armband. At the European Championships in 2016, Matyuidi was also one of the key players - he played in all matches, coming from the national team to the final. He also gave the scoring pass in the quarterfinals against the national team of Iceland. All in all, the midfielder has 54 matches and 8 goals for the national team.
