The Soviet Union has already existed as long as it does not exist, and the problems after its disintegration remained far from being resolved. One of such problems is Nagorno-Karabakh, the conflict in which goes beyond all the limits. Bloodshed continues to this day, no one wants to give in to anyone, but people are dying. Why are these peoples still unable to reconcile and what are attempts made for this?
History of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict
On the territory of the modern Republic of NagornyRepresentatives of Armenian and Azerbaijani nationalities live in Krabah. Of course, each people reaches out to their roots, their state, but people on both sides live almost the same number. How to resolve this conflict of Nagorno-Karabakh, to which state should this small belligerent republic be annexed? During the existence of the Soviet Union, these peoples lived peacefully, because they were part of one big state. And in 1987, letters began to come to Moscow with requests to join Nagorno-Karabakh, the conflict in which it began to gain momentum, to Armenia. Then the Armenians decided to collect signatures and send them to the Kremlin. And here the oil in the flaming flames was poured by the adviser of Gorbachev Abel Aganbegyan, who stated in Paris that Nagorny Krabah should be transferred to Armenia. In the village of Chardakhli (north of Azerbaijan) there was a clash between local authorities and Armenians, which revealed disagreement with the newly appointed chairman of the kolkhoz. The police beat these Armenians, and they came to protest in Moscow.
Current situation
In today's world, the problem of Nagorno-Karabakh has not been resolved. Despite the fact that the CSCE, NATO, and the European Union have decided on the agenda of the solution of the problem in the republic, reconciliation here does not smell.
