Russian Academy of Justice (RAP) -an educational institution founded by Presidential Decree No. 528 in 1998. The function of the founder is performed by the Supreme and Supreme Arbitration Courts of the Russian Federation.
Goals and objectives
Previously, universities did not conduct specializedtraining of employees of the judicial system. The formation of civil society requires the expansion of the role of judicial protection in terms of the rights and freedoms of people, an effective fight against the manifestation of extremism, terrorism and crime. Only professionals are able to effectively manage the judicial system. For training with a specialized legal education, a specialized educational research institution was established. There are no analogs of the RAP justice. The concept of the academy is that the future judge should start improving his professional skills as early as possible, be able to competently apply knowledge, cultivate the necessary personal qualities.

The level of education
RAP - Academy of Justice - has already gained statusmost prestigious educational institution, standing in one row with MSU, MSLA and other institutions. Anticipating the importance of specialized education, the founders sent a powerful faculty to the academy. Most of the workers have practical experience in government bodies, courts, are leading economists, scientists, and lawyers.
Educational process
There are 7 faculties and 23 departments in the academy.The main areas of study: economics, finance, law, management, retraining of judges, advanced training, military department, physical education, philosophy and social and humanitarian, general education disciplines, foreign languages, computer science and mathematics.
Over 17,000 students study at the academy.Training is carried out on a budget and contractual basis. The RAP of Justice invites applicants to modern training programs, including the training of bachelors in the areas of jurisprudence and management. They also prepare masters in jurisprudence in popular areas: for judicial work on the resolution of economic disputes, corporate lawyers, lawyers of fiscal law and taxation.

Full-time students are given a respite from military service. After training in the military department is enrolled in the reserve with the assignment of the officer rank "Lieutenant of Justice."
У студентов колледжа два вида стипендий — academic and social. They are paid only to students studying on a budget basis. Academic scholarship is charged based on the results of the winter and summer sessions. This scholarship is given to students who have completed the semester for "good" and "excellent".
The international cooperation
РАП правосудия активно и продуктивно сотрудничает with Russian and foreign universities. Students can master an additional international program: correspondence courses in the Moscow department with a bachelor's degree or LL.M. Here they prepare specialists of international legal specialization, capable of conducting clerical work in two foreign languages. Practice
Particular attention is paid to student acquisition.practical skills activities. Pupils practice in courts, lawyers, justice bodies, notaries, prosecutors under the supervision of teachers, leaders of the practice.
There is an opportunity to work in the legal clinic of the Academy, where students, under the guidance of the tutor-curators, provide free legal advice to unprotected categories of citizens.
Social activity
В академии активно действуют студенческий театр, KVN, vocal and dance studios. An annual creative contest "Constellation" is held among Russian branches, the newspaper The RAP of Justice "Themis" is published.
Employment
After the end of the RAP there is the possibility of continuingpostgraduate education in 11 scientific specialties with assignment of a scientific degree. Today, thousands of graduates work successfully in the judicial system, in government, in large companies. More than 80 graduates work in the Supreme and Supreme Arbitration Courts of the Russian Federation.
