English language rules: briefly about the main

In recent years, learning English has becomeso demanded that some sometimes even surprised that someone does not know him. This is not surprising, since English can be considered the most "international", it is spoken in almost all countries of the world (of course, in addition to the native language). Those who wish for further career prospects seek to learn it in the first place, and only then can, if they wish, begin to study other languages. Of course, it is not easy, because the rules of the English language, its grammar, are very different from those that are inherent in the native language of a person. And, besides them, you need to learn many foreign words in order to be able to express yourself so that you understand. But suppose that you started studying long ago, and you need a list of the most common mistakes made when speaking or writing text. We suggest that you take note of the basic rules of the English language, in which mistakes are most often committed.

  1. Present Simple Verbstime): they are used when it comes to any action (I do - I do), what is happening in general. For example: I drive a bus - I drive a bus. That is, this action does not necessarily take place at this moment, it takes place in general, constantly. Remember that such verbs are used in “pure” form only in relation to the pronouns I, we, you, they (I, you, they). With pronouns he, she, it (he, she, it), add the ending -s- to the verbs, for example: Henry works in a bank - Henry works in a bank.
  2. The rules of the English language state that the auxiliary verb will (in this case is not translated), which serves to form the future tense, is not used with such words as while, when, after, after, before, as, as, till, until — while, when, after, earlier, as soon as, until, until.
  3. Verbs have to and must, despite the similaritymeanings, however, differ in meaning. Thus, I have to do it means "I must / must do it," and I must be understood as "I must do it."
  4. Learning further the rules of the English language, pleasenote that verbs with the ending -ing- are used before at, in, of, with, for, instead of, about, in spite of (in, in, from, with, to, and, approximately, despite) and after after , before (after, before). For example: are you interested in reading of this book - are you interested in reading this book?

In addition, it is necessary to remember the correctnessbuilding sentences. We are accustomed to, that the Russian language is so great and powerful that it allows an arbitrary transposition of words between themselves, and the meaning of the sentence will not change and will be clear. In English, everything is not so: if you rearrange the parts of speech, as you like, you will get nothing more than a regular set of words that have no connection. It is for this reason that it is important to learn the rules of the English language, in which there are nine types of sentences, each of which is structured according to its own laws. The classification of species is as follows:

1) narrative (subject - simple predicate - the rest of the speech);

2) interrogative (built, based onExpected answer: Common questions that can be answered with “yes, no”; special, requiring only a complete response; choice questions; separation, consisting of a sentence and the question itself);

3) imperative (the only type of sentence that does not have a subject);

4) exclamation (in structure identical to the narrative, but with great expression and intonation);

5) negative (have only one negative);

6) answers to questions (based on the question asked);

7) impersonal sentences (nominal and verbal, for example: it is cold - cold, or it's getting warm - it becomes warm);

8) vague-personal (one can do it easily - this can be done easily);

9) complex sentences (consist of several independent sentences).

Of course, all this is only a brief basis of English.language, because the rules, in fact, much more. But nothing is impossible, as you know, does not happen. Therefore, if the desire to learn English is very great, in addition to the rules, do not forget that you need to communicate in this language. The fact is that, having learned a language only on paper, you can hardly understand it colloquially, without having practice. If you don't speak English with anyone, the way out is simple: watch movies without translation and try to catch intonations, features of word pronunciation and other nuances. So you start thinking faster and, therefore, speak English as fluently as possible.
