Order of Honor is the Russian stateaward established by the President of the Russian Federation in 1994. This distinction is awarded to citizens for great achievements in production, charity, research, social, social and cultural activities, which significantly improved the lives of people, as well as merits in bringing up the younger generation, maintaining law and order and training qualified personnel. Description
Distinguishing mark made of silver andlooks like an eight-pointed cross, which is covered with blue enamel. In its center there is a round medallion, it is covered with white enamel and contains an image of the State Emblem of the Russian Federation, which is bordered with a laurel wreath. The Order of Honor has a diameter of 42 millimeters. The back side is smooth, without enamel, in its lower part there is a relief sign “No.”, and after it the number of the award is engraved. With the help of a ring and an ear, the insignia is connected to a pentagonal pad, which is covered with a moire silk ribbon of blue color with a longitudinal white stripe. The width of the strip is 2.5 millimeters, and the width of the tape itself is 24 millimeters. From the right edge of the tape strip lags by 5 millimeters.

A miniature copy of the Order of Honor is worn on the block.The distance between the ends of the cross is 15.4 millimeters, from the top of the lower corner and to the middle of the upper side, the height of the pad is 19.2 millimeters. Description of the award

Interesting fact
In the people the award received the name "Merryguys". The fact is that quite shortly before the establishment of the distinguishing mark, a film with the same name appeared on the screens, and the image presented on the order evoked direct associations with it.
