The Order "For Victory over Germany" was established by I.V.Stalin 05/09/1945 and was appropriated to all who participated in the battles of the Second World War - directly or indirectly. The question of creating a government award, which could be conferred not only by senior in rank, but also private, has been discussed since October 1944. The awarding of the order took place under the leadership of the USSR government, pilots, commanders-in-chief and privates were presented to receive the medal, a list of all categories of persons who received this order is given below.
A bit of history

Description of the Order
The Order "For the Victory over Germany" (1941-1945) hasround shape and in its original is made of brass, and its diameter is 32 millimeters. All images and inscriptions on medals have a convex shape. The front part contains an image in the profile of Comrade Stalin, in the upper part you can read the inscription: "Our cause is just." The words "We have won" flaunted below. As for the reverse side of the medal, there are also inscriptions, and the lower part is decorated with a five-pointed asterisk. The medal is connected to the pentagonal block with the aid of an ear and a ring, the pad is covered with silk moire St. George ribbon, whose width is 24 millimeters. The ribbon picture consists of five equal longitudinal strips of black (3) and orange colors (2) alternating with each other. Orange stripes also border the ribbon.

Who relied reward
So who was entitled to the Order for Victory over Germany? They were awarded:
- The servicemen and staff of the free recruitment staff who participated in the war fronts or by their activities ensured victory in the military districts.
- All served on the fronts (see item 1), but retired on the fact of getting injured or due to illness. The award is also given to those who have been transferred to another job.
- The medal was relied upon by those servicemen whoserved for at least three months, and to those volunteers who served for at least six months, in the district military departments, as well as in spare military units, training units and military counterintelligence agencies. The Order "For Victory over Germany" was conferred on those who worked in warehouses, in commandant's offices, in hospitals, at military enterprises and other similar institutions.
- Medals were also assigned to the personnel of the NKVD, which ensured the Great Victory of the Russian people with its work.
- Order awarded employees rearevacuation medical institutions of the Red Army and Navy, which were transferred to the competence of the USSR People's Commissariat of Health and were considered to be mobilized to serve these hospitals.
- Finally, the medal was awarded to employees, as well as workers, collective farmers and other civilians from partisan detachments who acted in the enemy rear.
The presentation was carried out by the commanders of the units to those who were in the military units, and to the persons who had left were handed over to the city and district military commissars at the place of residence of the awarded.
