Classification

Conventionally, WiFi adapters can be divided into 3 classes:

• specialized.

In the first case, such a device is installedinside the same smartphone or laptop. It is connected and in the presence of a software component can immediately work. In the second situation it is a separate device, which is more often

just installed in the universal connectorserial bus (in the usual version - a square socket, but if it is mini, then the shape may be slightly different). Also, after connecting, he needs to install software. It can be found on the CD, which is included, or downloaded from the official website of the manufacturer. But specialized such devices are tied strictly to the products of one manufacturer. For example, Samsung's WiFi adapter can only work with its equipment. Of course, there is the possibility that it will work on the equipment of another manufacturer, but this is the exception rather than the rule.

Now let's look at how any WiFi network adapter is configured on a personal computer. Usually the package contains the following components:

• the device itself;
• CD with drivers and software;
• user manual (most often in English).

First you need to install the device innest. It is better if this nest is on the back side of the system unit. These connectors are installed directly on the motherboard and are immediately ready for operation. You can use the sockets on the front side, but before that you must make sure that they are operational. After connecting it, a message appears stating that new hardware has been found. With their help, you can change any parameters of the Network and equipment. In the next step, you need to go to the network connections. This can be done through the "Start" button or through the Taskbar. In the lower left corner is a shortcut that provides access to such equipment. In the window that opens, not only all installed WiFi adapters will be displayed, but also other network devices that are currently connected to the system. You need to select the one that was just installed, and double click on it with the left mouse button. In the available Networks window that opens, select the one we need and double click on it with the same key. Next, a password is entered, if necessary. That's it, setup is complete, and the Network is ready to go.
