In all spheres of life we are faced with sucha physical phenomenon, like color. He plays a decisive role in the process of decorating the interior, creating his own image, and also means a lot if you are related to painting. Everyone knows that the spectrum is divided into chromatic and achromatic colors: the first have shades, a certain level of lordship, saturation - in a word, these are all the colors that we see (red, green, blue, brown, and so on). As for the latter, they include the lightest white, the darkest black, and also the numerous shades of gray that are in the gap between the two above.
So, achromatic colors can be called otherwisecolorless, neutral. They can differ from each other only lightness, while not having a tone or shades. They are often used in our lives as basic and as auxiliary, and also occupy far from the last place in contemporary art. In the past centuries, artists preferred to work with color - their paintings were painted with pastels, oil, colored coals. Those paintings on which the image was applied only in pencil, were considered sketches.
In the twentieth century, the achromatic colors of steelto win a leading position among the masters in the field of painting. One of the first artists who began to paint their canvases in black and white, was Pablo Picasso. Among his works is "Guernica" - a complete abstraction, moreover devoid of color. Many paintings by Picasso left in the form of sketches, without further coloring. In a similar spirit, his self-portrait is executed, where the author isobarazil himself in his youth.
Another representative of abstract art was ourcompatriot Kazimir Malevich. The lightest and darkest achromatic colors blended into his world picture "Black Square". It is also worth noting that in his other works the color is present in full brightness, and the black and white gamma is only revealed in details. For example, his work entitled "Women in the field" demonstrates the absence of smooth color transitions, gradations of shades. As in the background, and on the main details of the canvas, there are basic chromatic colors. Only the woman who is in the center is painted in black and white colors.
It is believed that achromatic colors belong toneutral, which are combined with all the rest. However, this color range occupies the leading place among photographers today. It is believed that it is on a black and white picture shows the whole essence of the picture, especially if it is a portrait. In such colors, streets, cities are also removed, they are appropriate for some still lifes. There is even a separate "school of black and white photography," which teaches us to make colorless pictures. Unlike colorful photos, similar works require much more talent and knowledge.
Color tone, whether it is depicted in the picture, written in pencil, paints or in photography, conveys to us the mood, the essence of this composition. Using a colorless scale, this is difficult to do. However, many world masterpieces show us that the skill of the artist is able to overcome this obstacle.
