Biography
Lavrov Oleg Alekseevich was born in the actorfamily in October 1948 in the town of Kimry (Tver region). He began his creative activity from an early age. As a schoolboy, he worked in a drama circle, then in the Palace of Culture at a shoe factory.
He studied at the directing department inMoscow Institute of Culture. After studying, Oleg served in the army. Then he worked at the Palace of Culture "40 years of October" in his homeland, after which he worked for about 5 years at the regional drama theater in Moscow. At the age of 27, Lavrov Oleg Alekseevich returned to his hometown of Kimry, where he served as an actor in a theater of drama and comedy. In the early 1990s, he was appointed chief director, and already 3 years later he became artistic director.

The actor at the age of 30 starred in a cameo role in a comedy film called The Cat in a Bag.
As a director O.Lavrov became famous for his productions Cylinder, The Cherry Orchard, Moliere. In St. Petersburg, the performances of the master created a furor. When Lavrov turned 48, he wasawarded the title of Honored Artist of the Russian Federation, and 11 years later, in June 2007, the President of the Russian Federation awarded the actor the honorary title of the People’s Artist of the Russian Federation.
