What music to listen to?

That music has the ability to influenceperson, it has been known for a long time. Approximately two thousand years ago there lived a famous doctor, whose name was Asclepius. He treated his patients in a very original way: playing the trumpet or flute, and even created a special theory on how to listen to music so that it would bring more benefits. Patients had to be in a bright, spacious and comfortable room, sitting or lying, relaxing, and at that time not hearing any other sounds.

I belong to the category of those people whorarely appear on the street, and even more so in public transport, without headphones. Probably, I listen to something almost constantly. This may be a classic work, a fatal composition, an audio book or a radio play. That is why the question of what music to listen to is not uncommon for me. Friends, acquaintances and colleagues often turn to me for advice. I want to share my thoughts on this matter in this article.

1. What music to listen to? Is there universal advice?

Honestly, it seems to me that the answer is simplydoes not exist. Why? Because, first of all, we are all initially different from nature, someone is more energetic, and someone is prone to thinking and melancholy. Secondly, choosing the music in your player or running the file on your computer, we can pursue their own personal goals. Someone wants to relax and rest, and someone needs to tone up music, fill them with strength and energy.

Of course, all these works will be very, very different: both in genre, and in rhythm, and in content.

Perhaps musical tastes depend on the status or public role of the listener? Check?

Take any known youth current.Have you ever been interested in knowing what kind of emo music you are listening to, for example? Favorite musical performances of this subculture represent a rather surprising mixture of different genres, styles and trends: punk music, jazz, india-rock, techno and pop-punk. Those. if you look, there is no definite and strict criterion either, although one main feature is traced - emotionality.

It turns out that music has nothing to do with ourposition in society, and there are no songs that were originally written, for example, for pregnant women, the elderly, students or schoolchildren.

2. What kind of music to listen to in our country? Are there any priorities?

Recently, in one of the social networks I managedcome across an interesting opinion poll. It turns out that the most popular in our country was and continues to be rock, which managed to win 31% of the vote. Only a little bit behind him pops, i.e. the usual populum of our television channels and radio stations, popular music. She managed to reach the mark of 24%.

Первоначально я была уверена, что на третьем place to accommodate chanson. But, oddly enough, 15% of respondents voted for classical compositions. It means that everything is far from being so bad if the population continues to stand in line for tickets to the philharmonic hall or the organ hall, and our children will know that V.A. Mozart is, above all, a wonderful and talented composer, and after that he promoted chocolate brand from Germany.

After that, the rating is followed by electronic music revered among young people (11%).

And finally, the top five closes the chanson and hip-hop, who scored the same number of votes - 8% each.

The remaining 3% were shared by lovers of jazz, blues, reggae, Russian folklore and country music.

3. What music to listen to? Point of view of psychologists

First of all, according to experts, the influence of music on a particular person depends on one factor, namely, on the individual susceptibility of the central nervous system.

In the course of numerous studies, it was found that pleasant and favorite music can have a beneficial effect on the human circulatory system.

Scientists conducted a kind of experiment. In one of the famous clinics invited 10 people of different ages, gender and social status. Each of them was offered to listen to music, while the doctors conducted all the necessary research. As a result, 26% of the subjects showed an improvement in their general condition in the event that they liked the music, and in 6% if not.

Psychologists insist that the most usefulfor our body is classical music, in the second place is folk. It is strange that pop doesn’t have any effect at all, but an excessive passion for rock can provoke a mental illness.
