As a point of reference, Russian detectives, the list of which is presented in the article, is taken in the 90s of the last century, when detective products from abroad rushed to the shelves of bookstores with an inexhaustible flow. This prompted domestic writers to take up the pen (as an option - a ball-point pen, a computer keyboard) and begin writing stories that fascinate average readers with plot twists.
Boris Akunin
List of the best Russian detectives begin booksGrigory Chkhartishvili (that is, Boris Akunin). In Russia it is hardly possible to find a person who is more or less interested in modern literature, who would not have heard of the “Adventures of Erast Fandorin”. The named cycle consists of a series of books united by the main character. Erast, as well as the nineteenth century accompanying the action of detectives, is a model of true nobility. Fandorin appears in the first novel of the Azazel cycle, where he exposes the activities of a powerful group. And more than a modest clerk position is not a hindrance. Then other novels will follow, and some of them have healed a second life on television screens (“Turkish Gambit”, “State Counselor”). The final is the book "Black City", the action of which takes place in 1914 before the war.
Fandorinsky cycle Akunin seems to wantto clarify for themselves and readers what is a Russian detective story. The list of various modifications of this genre (some of them were specially invented by the author) is amazing. Akunin gives examples of political, spy, adventure detectives, these include the above works. And after such specific branches of the genre appear as the ethnographic (“Diamond chariot”), theatrical (“The whole world is the theater”) and even ... an idiotic detective story. Another postmodern game, nothing more.
The cycle dedicated to Fandorin is not the only one.the work of Akunin in a detective genre. He also owns the trilogy about the monk Pelagia, who, living in the fictional Trans-Volga province, reveals crimes. To do this, she needs to show all her qualities to the maximum, including the ability to become a brilliant social lioness, when you need to attend events that do not quite correspond to the nature of her activities.
Darya Dontsova
But not only works of Akunin constituteRussian detectives. The list is continued by Dontsova's novels, which enjoy an enviable popularity among the domestic reader. Daria started writing them after she was diagnosed in 1998 with a terrible diagnosis of breast cancer. Apparently, the disease opened up some creative resources of the writer, and she was discharged from the hospital, having managed to scroll 5 books. In the first of them - “Cool heirs” - the heroine Dasha Vasilyeva is introduced, who has much in common with the author himself. She loves animals, the professional activity of a woman is connected with languages, and then ... and the crimes that she has the ability to attract, like a magnet. In total, 46 novels have been created about Dasha Vasilyeva (some of them - “For All the Hares”, “My Husband's Wife” and others - were filmed) and several works of a small genre form.
After that, Dontsova decided to add to the list.Russian detectives books, in which other heroes participate - Evlampiya Romanova (“Manicure for the dead”, “Lunch at the cannibal” and many others), Viola Tarakanova (“Fillet from the Golden Cockerel”, “Three bags of tricks”). Particular attention is attracted by the only male detective created by Dontsova, Ivan Podushkin. His image largely reflects the feminine understanding of the ideal man: he is gallant, noble and does not tire of caring for his mother, a very eccentric woman. At the moment, 19 detectives have been created about Podushkin, some of them have been filmed.
Alexandra Marinina
The audience at the beginning of this century probably remembersNastya Kamenskaya is an ash blonde who drinks a lot of coffee, does not like to cook, does not paint at all. But he knows several languages and just loves to catch criminals. This colorful character owes its creation to Alexandra Marinina, another honorary member of the Russian Writers of the Detectives Club. The list of novels in which Kamenskaya operates is quite extensive - enough for 6 seasons of the television series! Anastasia appears in the novel “Confluence of Circumstances”, in order to then successfully act in other detectives (“Playing in a foreign field”, “Death for the sake of death”, “Posthumous image” ...).
Tatyana Ustinova
Устинова одна из первых начала писать русские detectives. The list of her works, however, is not limited to detective novels (“The Storm over the Sea” is a sample of this genre in her work). The writer manages to combine bloody crimes with a melodramatic background, the decision of the heroes of their own love conflicts. This breaks one of the 20 commandments given by Stephen Van Dyne - so be it.
Andrey Konstantinov
And again an example from the movie. The spectator of the beginning of the “zero” must remember the gloomy saga “Gangster Petersburg” about the elusive Antibiotic and the brave journalist played by Domogarov. Its founder was Andrei Konstantinov, a journalist and translator. He decides to increase the list of Russian detectives with his creations in the mid-90s, publishing the novels Lawyer and Journalist, and then other detective stories followed. It should also be noted art project "Agency" Golden Bullet ", carried out by the writer.
Natalya Solntseva
The mystical twists and turns of the plot also includeRussian detective story. The list of works of authors who tried to combine in their books the process of solving a crime with unreal events is crowned by Natalya Solntseva. As the author claims, she wrote her first novel (“Golden Threads”) in 2000, and she had written almost nothing before. Her works are not ordinary Russian detectives. The list of the main characters of her creations are artifacts, which have a supernatural influence on the fate of their owners. What kind of impact this may turn out to be - this is exactly what Natalya wants to explain in her novels (“What dreams of blood”, “The mantle with golden bees”, “The Etruscan mirror” and others).
