History of character creation
The legendary Mikhail Bulgakov first mentionedthe personality of Yuri Miloslavsky in his play "Bliss" in 1934. This work was not published until 1966. Virtually no one knew about it. But in fact, it is the basis on which a more perfect play called "Ivan Vasilyevich" was created a little later.
The play "Ivan Vasilyevich" echoes the plot of "Bliss", however, it is more known to modern lovers of cinema and theater thanks to the film by Leonid Gaidai.

Plays with the participation of Miloslavsky
Georges Miloslavsky is featured in only two plays by Mikhail Bulgakov.
The difference between these works wasis significant. Firstly, the main character was called Nikolai Timofeev, and not Evgeny Rein. And first he removed the wall between his room and Shpak's apartment, and only then sent his friends to the 16th century. In the new play, there was no hint of a subsequent journey into the future.
Первая редакция пьесы «Иван Васильевич» implied that everything described had actually happened. But then Bulgakov decided to turn it all into a dream. In 1965, the work was first published immediately in the second edition, according to which all the incredible events just dreamed of the inventor.
Unfortunately, both Mikhail Bulgakov's plays, in which Georges appeared, lay "in the table" for more than thirty years before they were published.
