With the onset of the cold season, different hats appear in the wardrobe of most people. They are bought, knitted by themselves or ordered from knitters.
Today, finding the right model is pretty easy,as there is no specific fashion for a particular headdress. Women's hats, snoods or berets can be knitted from almost any yarn, they are decorated with openwork or continuous patterns, embroidery, appliqués and other decorative elements.
Knitted beret material
Considering that hats throughoutfor a long time in contact with the scalp, you should use only high-quality yarn for their manufacture. Berets for women are usually knitted from soft wool, for example, from merino. Sheep wool mixed with acrylic, cotton or nylon is also suitable. Here it is important to apply a thread that does not prick. Otherwise, the beret will cause discomfort and irritation of the skin in the area of the forehead and occiput.
If, however, the material was hard, there are two ways out of the situation:
- Tie a beret for a woman, and then sew inside a lining of warm and soft fabric (flannel, fleece).
- Use another (non-yarn-less) yarn to make a belt.
However, these techniques will not be useful when working on knitted scarves. For these products, you need to take only high quality material, as they are in contact with a large area of skin on the neck.
How to match the lace berets?
There are two methods for creating berets:
- Knitting from center to girdle (from top to bottom).
- Execution first belt, and then the rest of the canvas (bottom to top).
- Assembling products from separately related fragments (if they create beret hooks for women).

The width of the rapport is 8 loops, so 14 tracery bands will fit in the canvas. Based on these data, you need to adjust the total number of loops:
14 x 8 + 2 (edge) = 114 pieces.
Beginning of work
For knitting a belt on the circular needles, gain the number of loops obtained in the calculation (114). Then, to a height of three to five centimeters, a scarf knit is performed (face loops in all rows).

- When the belt is ready, proceed to performpattern. It is advisable to mark the entire series with markers, demarcating the rapport borders. True, in this ornament, the role of borders can serve as purl loops (in the diagram it is a black dot in the cell).

White beret and long scarf

Often, berets for women are knitted with scarves.For a classic long scarf, you can use the ornament located on the right and at the top of the diagram (A.1). It is balanced and perfect for making a flat canvas, that is, it has an equal number of added and reduced loops. The standard width of such a scarf is about 25-30 centimeters, and the length is from one and a half meters.
