Weaving is a very interesting occupation.A person can realize his creative potential at his leisure by creating various useful original things. A basket of newspaper tubes, a bread box, a box for storing dirty laundry - this is not a complete list of what can be woven. In addition, this hobby almost does not require costs, because the material from which various items are created is ordinary newspapers that we find in our mailboxes.
Making tubes of newspapers
A basket of newspaper tubes is made bythe principle of weaving baskets from twigs. The only difference is in the material used for weaving. Therefore it is important to first prepare the ducts. To do this, cut the newspaper into strips about ten centimeters wide along the long side, then put the knitting needle on the lower left corner of the newspaper strip at an angle of 45 degrees and screw it tightly. The remaining edge of the strip is fixed with glue. A basket of newspaper tubes can be of very different shape and size, so it is difficult to say exactly how many tubes are required for its manufacture.
The process of weaving the bottom of the basket
The easiest way to run a basket of newspapertubules with a square or rectangular base. First, take 10 tubes and lay them next to each other in parallel. The next tube should be laid perpendicular to this top ten on top of them, and then carefully remove each even number from 10 to the top. We take one more and begin to weave over the first one, bringing up already a dozen odd tubes - in a checkerboard pattern. If you decide to weave a basket of newspaper tubes with a square base, then after laying the tenth transverse row, you should proceed to the design of the walls of the crafts. For a basket with a rectangular base, slightly more transverse rows are made. For a round base, slightly modified technology is required. When the master has a 10x10 grid, the next tube should be woven in a circle, turning the base and "smoothing" the corners of the square. It is necessary to try to achieve the shape of a circle.
Basket weaving
When we weave baskets from newspaper tubes,often in the process, the product breaks down into details. To prevent this from happening, it is recommended from time to time to fasten the workpiece with a stapler or glue. Having received the desired size of the base of the future basket, you should lift the tubes up and continue to tightly weave in a circle into the walls of the basket. To achieve the required density, you need to weave the elements as close as possible to each other. At the end of the tube, one more should be inserted into its socket, smearing the joint with glue. When the desired height is reached, using the spokes, the remaining tips of the tubes are tucked inside the basket. You can arrange a wicker handle for a basket or perform the cover, which is secured with rubber bands or rope loops.
Braided design
The process of registration depends entirely on the master.You can cover upon completion of the basket with a stain with a sponge or brushes. There is a variant of painting the product with acrylic paint, diluted in equal proportions with PVA glue. It is necessary to apply several layers: both for beauty, and for durability. And you can take paper napkins with a pattern and stick to the finished product.
