Verba is an early spring plant. Its branches are decorated with soft buds and thin leaves.
In the Orthodox Christian Church this plantdedicated to the Palm Sunday holiday. On this day, people take in the church consecrated twigs of willows and lightly beat them with their relatives and friends, wishing health, success and happiness. But you can do it with your own hands! Any baby will like this idea.
Materials for this application
In order to perform the application, you will need:
- Thick cardboard of any color. The more dense the cardboard, the harder and more durable will be the appliqué "Verba". The color of the cardboard does not matter, the main thing is that it does not merge with other parts of the craft.
- Colored paper. You will need brown, gray, green and blue paper. If desired, you can use other colors.
- PVA glue.
- Scissors with rounded ends. Pointed ends pose a danger to the child.
- PA simple pencil for drawing a contour, through which parts will be cut.
- Vata. Need ordinary medical cotton wool, discs and tips of cotton buds will not give the desired effect.
- Felt pens of different colors.
Beginning of work. Preparing the Parts
Application "Willow branch" is feasible for independent work of small creators. Adults can help by just drawing out the outline on which the details will be carved.
- A few fine twigs are cut from brown paper. They should be long and thin.
- Of the green paper you need to cut a few thin short leaves, they should be 3-4 times more than the branches.
- From the gray is cut out a lot of small ovals,they are the buds of pussy-willow. The buds should not be very small, because the applique "Verba" is made of cotton wool, and it is difficult to paste this cotton wool on small buds.
- From the blue paper you need to cut out the vase. It can be of any shape, but rectangular is best. Instead of the blue one, you can use paper of any color, the main thing is that it does not merge with the background.
- The cotton should be rolled into small balls. Their number should coincide with the number of gray ovals.
Now the application "Verba" can begin to glue.
Assembling the applique
Begin the assembly with branches. They are glued in the form of a bouquet, intersecting with each other. However, at the bottom, the branches must be assembled into a bundle and not be knocked out of the total mass. This beam should be smaller than the vase.
A vase is pasted on top of it, it should cover less than half the length of a bouquet of twigs. If the vase turned out to be long, then it should be lowered below.
After that, on both sides, the branches are covered with gray buds from the end of the vessel to the top. They can be glued in pairs with each other. The branches with the kidneys should not be the same.
Between the branches the application "Verba" is covered with green leaves. 3-4 leaves per branch. The leaves on each branch should be in different places, and they should be glued next to the vase.
End of work
If you wish, you can skip this step, but then the applique "Verba" will not be so original and look natural.
- Now you need to make a volume with a felt-tip pen, outlining the edges of the vase with semicircular lines and finishing the back wall of the vase.
- Further round the whole body of the vase you can draw rounded parallel lines and patterns that repeat the semicircular shape. They will also add a volume vase and make it original.
- Then on the kidneys with the help of glue paste cotton balls. Then the bouquet itself will turn out to be voluminous.
- On the leaves are streaked.
The application "Willow twig" is ready.It can be charged independently to make a small child. The help of an adult here will be superfluous and will not allow the baby to show imagination. The work itself on the application is not dangerous.
