The authors of the project and the construction managers were the famous architects Chechulin and Rostkovsky, as well as the engineer Hoffman. Prisoners were involved in the construction of the building, including prisoners of war. As conceived by Stalin, all seven buildings were to become not only a symbol of the greatness of the state, but also a reminder of the great victory. The builders even left messages on the walls of some apartments, some lines from them have survived to the present day. From above, a high-rise resembles an equilateral triangle without one side. Such an impression is created by the central tower and the two wings that extend symmetrically from it.

Tenants received a new living space with the most luxurious repair and fully furnished. Over the years, such famous people as Nonna Mordyukova, Faina Ranevskaya, Nikita Bogoslovsky, Galina Ulanova and Alexander Tvardovsky lived here. Of course, this list of famous tenants does not end there, it can continue indefinitely. The high-rise on Kotelnicheskaya Embankment was the ultimate dream even for wealthy citizens of those times. Entrances have always been under the supervision of vigilant concierges and security guards. Despite all the riches, the residents of the house could visit each other, leaving the door wide open.
