The high-rise on Kotelnicheskaya Embankment is unique inin many ways. There are seven such buildings altogether, and they were built almost at the same time, while only two of them are completely inhabited. This house was commissioned in 1952. The authors of the project and the construction managers were the famous architects Chechulin and Rostkovsky, as well as the engineer Hoffman. Prisoners were involved in the construction of the building, including prisoners of war. As conceived by Stalin, all seven buildings were to become not only a symbol of the greatness of the state, but also a reminder of the great victory. The builders even left messages on the walls of some apartments, some lines from them have survived to the present day. From above, a high-rise resembles an equilateral triangle without one side. Such an impression is created by the central tower and the two wings that extend symmetrically from it.

The house has long lost its elitism andunavailability. Today anyone can buy an apartment here. However, not all millionaires seek to move into this house, and this is not surprising at all. Initially the apartments here were not big enough. High ceilings and elegant stucco, combined with a completely ill-conceived layout and close pass rooms - this is not the best option. However, not only this is a bad skyscraper on Kotelnicheskaya Embankment for housing. There are big problems with infrastructure. It is difficult to place a car near the building, garbage collection is difficult, there are interruptions in water supply and heating. Apartments in this building are sold permanently, you can also rent them for a day or long term. But it should be done solely for the sake of the atmosphere. In terms of comfort at a similar cost, it is not at all difficult to find more comfortable and pleasant accommodation in a new building. If you are fascinated by a skyscraper on Kotelnicheskaya Embankment, apartments in it can be viewed during the excursion. The most popular among tourists in this building are the Galina Ulanova Museum and the Illusion cinema.
