This fast and tasty toasted sandwich is perfect for breakfast or lunch. For its preparation, the following ingredients will be required:
- 1/4 cup light cream cheese;
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh basil;
- 1 teaspoon teaspoonful of Dijon mustard;
- 1/4 teaspoon freshly frozen black pepper;
- 8 slices of whole wheat bread;
- 150 grams of low-fat ham (4 slices);
- 8 slices of tomatoes (about 1 large whole vegetable);
- 1/4 cup shredded hot cheese "Cheddar".
Cooking process
Preheat the oven.Mix (as carefully as possible) the first four ingredients in a small bowl. Spread approximately 1 tablespoon of the resulting mixture on each of the 4 slices of bread. From above put on each workpiece a piece of ham, 2 tomato slices and 1 spoon of Cheddar cheese. That's not all.
