Crane girders: what do I need to know?

Crane beams are needed for liftingtechniques. They should be as reliable and durable as possible. Reinforced concrete crane beams are installed on the heads of the columns of the production building, but can also be suspended from the trusses.

crane beams
Crane runway beams are used inheated and unheated industrial premises with a reinforced concrete frame and spans of 18 and 24 m for installation of conventional overhead cranes operating in light and medium gravity with a carrying capacity of up to 32 tons. They can also be used on overpasses located in the open air. These designs can withstand seismic shocks up to 9 points. They are made of T-section concrete with a span length of 6 m and an I-beam for spans 12 m long. Their reinforcement in the longitudinal direction is made of steel with a diameter of 14-25 mm, and in the transverse direction the non-tensioning reinforcement in the longitudinal direction can be steel and have a diameter of 6 -18 mm.

Installation

Mount them directly from vehicles. The workers' brigade, engaged in installation, should consist of at least five people.

Before installation, the products areSpecial wooden lining along the longitudinal axis of the columns of the building with a boom. Install crane beams 6 m long in the required position by a conventional traverse with hooks (if the object is longer, then use a traverse with tongs). During the ascent, it is held by special detents in order to avoid hitting the columns of the building. Then the beam is leveled in height and in plan with the help of a jack. Install the gaskets of the required thickness, which are then fixed with anchor bolts. First, fixing is done temporarily, then a geodetic alignment of the position is made and only then the structure is fixed permanently.

Steel structures

Crane beams made of steel, made withusing welding, the length of which is 6 and 12 m, in cross section are an I-beam. They are made up of three sheets. Such structures are installed on columns of buildings made of metal or reinforced concrete, as well as columns of overpasses located in the open air. They withstand frosts to -65 ° C and seismic events up to 9 points (inclusive).

On such crane girders are installedordinary bridge electric cranes with a lifting capacity of up to 50 tons, designed to perform medium and heavy duty operations. Metal crane girders are made of two types: ordinary and end, which are adjacent to the ends of buildings and temperature seams. The steel from which they are made is welded from C29 to C44. Butt welds should be completely cooked (without voids). They are primed and painted. These structures must be labeled. The marking shall include the order number, drawing number, beam designation and production serial number. The products shall be supplied complete with mounting gaskets in an amount equal to the number of received designs. The application of technical documentation is mandatory.
