In our country, road workersofficially began to celebrate their professional holiday after the head of state at the beginning of November 1996 initiated the creation of a decree. Four years later, the Day of road workers in Russia began to celebrate every third Sunday of October.

It is thanks to the workers of the road sector in our country that there exists (although not everywhere) a high-quality and safe road network linking various Russian regions.
