When performing work related to pollutionof any kind, it is necessary to use protective equipment, for example mittens combined (in case you want to protect your hands). They can be used both at home and in a wide variety of industries.
There are several types of mittens; All of themmade of different fabrics and materials (natural or artificial), designed to work in specific conditions. The advantage of gloves and mittens is practicality, ease of wearing, freedom of movement, durability. In addition to protection from pollution, they protect against injury during construction, loading and unloading, agricultural and other works.
What are combined mittens?
This is one of the types of protective agents forhuman hands. This model of equipment is made from cotton and canvas fabric. A special, wear-resistant pad on the palm is made of tarpaulin material. It is due to the combination of two materials in one product that such mittens are called combined.
Types of products
To date, there are five types of combined mittens. They are designed for different fields of activity:
- Products equipped with set-in napalkom.
- Models with the same tuck, which is fully closed with the bottom of the glove.
- Mittens in which the napalok is located on the side at the bend of the product. Such models can be worn on both the right and left hand.
- Products equipped with two beaters designed for the index and thumb.
- Elongated gauntlets with leggings, which are tightened at the wrist with a special supporting elastic tape. In such models, a handheld is provided, and napalok nastrochen.
The consumer is presented with four sizes of combined mittens: 0, 1, 2, 3.
Technical conditions of production
According to GOST 12.4.010-75, combined mittens are made using special materials and threads, depending on where they will be used in the future.
So, the products are designed to protect against:
- Mechanical stress and abrasion.
For the manufacture of the base of such mittensused stern double stitched. Also here can be used severe flax two-thread, half-thread semi-linen or flax, as well as flax, and two-thread flax.
In addition, in the manufacture of mittens usedsemi-linen canvas, material with polyester fiber is a stern diagonal weaving, as well as vinyl artificial leather-T and elastose leather (for the manufacture of linings). It is also permissible to use a melange “Horizon” cotton-cotton fabric with a combined impregnation type.
- Spray of molten metal, sparks and scale.
For the manufacture of mittens intended forwork in hot shops, used materials such as greatcoat cloth and linen canvas, treated with refractory impregnation and asbestos fabrics (for the base and lining). Lining the back of the product are made from heat-reflecting elastoiskogo.
- Thermal radiation and contact with heated surfaces
The materials described above are used here. The number of refractory impregnation may vary, depending on the production conditions.
- Solutions of salts and water.
In the manufacture of mittens of this type useraincoat and tent cloths dyed with impregnation, semi-linen canvas treated with waterproof impregnation, as well as rubberized fabrics (for linings and warp).
- Acids of high and medium concentration.
To protect against concentrated acidsthe manufacturer must use special materials intended for the manufacture of acid-protective equipment, wool woolen acid-proof materials with polypropylene, polyester acid-repellent fabrics.
For the manufacture of mittens intended forprotection against acid of low and medium concentration, used materials for clothing with polypropylene and polyester, as well as acid-proof cloth SHGV-30. Severe cloth is used only for the manufacture of those products that will later be processed with latex.
Below is a photo of the combined mittens.
- Low concentrated alkalis.
Here should be used: canvas semi-linen, treated with waterproof impregnation, stern cloth, as well as double-linen and semi-linen.
- Oil products (oil, oils and solids).
In the manufacture of mittens designed forprotection against petroleum products, used lavsan fiber fabrics, semi-linen canvas with impregnation from water, viscose polyester materials with oil-repellent properties, water-repellent vinyl artificial leather “Storm”, as well as maslobenzostoykoy elastoskozha.
Fittings
As for the fittings, in the manufacture of equipment for the hands use:
- elastic stretch tape (for tightening products),
- cotton yarns treated with anti-decay solution (these yarns are not used in the manufacture of alkaline models),
- lavsan and nylon threads (not used in gloves that protect against high temperatures).
In the manufacture of heat-shielding products usedspecial phenyl and sewing threads. These threads, like reinforced ones, are used in the manufacture of products intended for protection against petroleum products. But reinforced raw materials are not used in heat-shielding, alkaline-protective and acid-proof models.
Now you are familiar with the description of the combined mittens in accordance with GOST 12.4.010-75, which was introduced by the State Committee of Standards of the Council of Ministers of the USSR on January 1, 1976.
