Truck production
MAZ-4370 or "Zubrenok" is produced by the Belarusiancompany "MAZ". The company has been leading its history since 1944, when a car repair and repair workshop was set up in the liberated Minsk. Gradually, the company switched to assembling trucks from vehicle sets. In 1945, construction began on the production shops of the plant for the manufacture of heavy vehicles. The company assembled the first trucks MAZ-205 in 1947, and two years later the assembly-line production of cars was launched. The appearance of the MAZ-4370 is associated with increased at the end of XXcentury demand for medium-tonnage cars, as well as the desire of the company "MAZ" at the expense of the new model to expand the production line of trucks. Such a compact car can be effectively used in urban conditions and on short commuter transportation for transportation of small lots of various goods.
In order to speed development and startproduction at the enterprise as a prototype chose a truck of a similar class MAN-L-2000, but the carrying capacity of this model was only 2.5 tons. MAZ did not consider lower loading capacity a problem. Due to the developed basic elements of the new truck, frame, suspension, bridges, she not only designed the truck in a fairly quick time, but also carried out all the required test and certification work. This allowed to start production of the model MAZ-4370 "Zubrenok" in 1999.
Model construction
In contrast to the Russianmid-tonnage vehicles, the Belarusian novelty received a bonnetless layout traditional for MAZ.
