Instruments:
- cross bit screwdriver;
- key for 10;
- wet cloth or sponge to remove dust;
- new filter.
We install the car on a flat surface, open the hood, disconnect the negative terminal from the battery, find in the engine compartment the body of the filter element and the corrugation going to the engine.
Behind the case is the air pipefilter VAZ-2110, which is worn corrugation. It houses the mass air flow sensor (DFID) connector. Disconnect this connector. Weaken the clamp on the pipe and disconnect the corrugation.
Using a Phillips screwdriver, unscrew the 4 screws that secure the filter housing cover, remove it and set it aside. We retrieve the fulfilled filtering element.

Installation of filter zero resistance do it yourself

Under the hood we find the case of the air filter VAZ-2110. Disconnect the ground terminal on the battery. Disconnect the connector DFID. Using a screwdriver, release the screw of the clamp and remove the corrugation going to the engine.
The key to 10 (better butt) unscrew the nuts that fasten the DMRV to the filter housing. Dismantle the filter housing and remove it.
Phillips screwdriver unscrew the fastening screwweight wires to the cylinder head. Under this screw install bracket mounting the air flow sensor that comes with the filter. Mount the sensor to the bracket with a bolt on the 10. The connection must be sufficiently rigid, otherwise the DFID will fail due to vibration.
We attach a corrugation to the back of the sensor and fix it by clamping the clamp. On the front of the DFID put on the filter itself and press its pipe with a clamp. Connect the sensor connector, connect the terminal.
Some useful tips
- Change the air filter in time, because the engine stability and fuel consumption depend on its condition.
- Inspect the filter element for its condition at least twice a month.
