- F9 - designed to protect the power supplyoil pressure indicators, fluid temperature, gasoline level, reserve lamps. A warning lamp takes power from it, signaling that the handbrake has been activated, as well as the emergency level of brake fluid, the absence of a battery charge, and the closure of the air damper. The solenoid valve XX, tachometer, reversing lamps, glove box lighting, rear window heater relay, are also powered from this fuse.
- Through the fuse F10 power is supplied to the voltage regulator. Rating - 8 Ampere.
- F11, F12, F13 - backup.
Optional fuse box
- F14 - rear window heater power circuit fuse. Rated operating current 16 A.
- F15 - electric motor blowing cooling radiator. Current 16 A.
- F16 - Alarms and turn indicators.

Wiper Relay and Fuse
Fuses VAZ-2106 protect the power circuitelectromagnetic relay control. One of the main ones is a wiper relay that is powered through fuse F2. With it, the wipers do not work constantly, but intermittently. It is much more efficient to manage low-voltage circuits than power ones. The relay is located under the dashboard, on the left side of the car. Replacement is made in this order:
- Remove the seal on the flap of the driver's door.
- Pry upholstery and remove it.
- Remove the holders mounted in the side. Holders must be installed when installing new.
- Bend the noise insulation.
- Disconnect the connector with the relay wires from the main harness. The connector is located at the bottom of the dashboard.
- Unscrew the two screws that secure the relay housing to the body.
After removing the old relay, install a new one in its place.Work is performed in reverse order. If replacing the VAZ-2106 fuses responsible for the operation of the wiper did not help, then be sure to check the integrity of the wires and the relay.
Direction indicators and emergency gang

Battery Charge Relay
This relay is located in the engine compartmentspace above the right mudguard. It will turn on the lamp in the dashboard if a breakdown occurs in the battery charging circuit. When the ignition is turned on, this lamp is lit (no charge). As soon as the motor is started, the lamp should go out (if the charge circuit is operational). Try to use only fuses.You can not put bugs instead (and the old block allows you to do this). For example, a 2-ruble coin easily acts as a fuse. Installing bugs may cause the wires to ignite.
Installing a new unit
To use the new model fuses on the VAZ-2106, you need to install a new unit instead of the old one. Make it easy, just follow the tips.
The order is as follows:
- Disconnect the negative cable from the battery.
- Carefully unscrew the old block with the key 10. Do not disconnect wires.
- Move down the block.
- Install the wires and jumpers according to the scheme.
- Note that jumpers are installed only on those wires that come from the engine compartment with voltage.
- Jumpers are installed between the pins: 3 and 4, 5 and 6, 7 and 8, 9 and 10, 11 and 12, 12 and 13.
- After that, remove the wires from the old unit in turn and install them on a new one.
- Check the correctness of all connections.
