The drug is used to prevent ortermination of capillary bleeding in diabetic angiopathy, during surgical interventions in ENT practice (for tonsillectomy, for example), in ophthalmology for removing cataracts, keratoplasty, etc., in dentistry for removing teeth, cysts, granulomas. Etamzilat means the instructions for use are recommended for use in urology (after prostatectomy, for example), gynecological practice and surgery (especially for interventions on heavily supplied blood), in case of emergency for pulmonary and intestinal bleeding, with hemorrhagic diathesis.

The drug can increase the formation ofcapillary walls of mucopolysaccharides with a high molecular weight, increase the stability of blood vessels, normalize their permeability against the background of pathological processes, improving microcirculation. Means "Etamzilat" also has a hemostatic (hemostatic) property. This effect, according to experts, is based on the ability of the drug to activate the formation of thromboplastin. The drug does not affect the prothrombin time, does not provoke increased clotting, and also does not contribute to the formation of blood clots.
Dosing regimen
The drug "Etamzilat" is allowed for use orally, intravenously, for the eyeball (retrobulbar), under the eye shell (subjunctivally), intramuscularly.
With the introduction of a hemostatic vein(hemostatic) effect of the drug is noted after five to fifteen minutes. Maximum efficiency is observed after an hour or two. The duration of the drug is from four to six hours. With the introduction of muscle hemostatic effect is noted somewhat later. When administered orally, the action occurs after three hours.
In order to prevent bleeding one hour beforesurgical intervention drug "Etamzilat" (in ampoules) administered intramuscularly or intravenously at a dosage of two to four milliliters (one or two ampoules). If necessary, repeat the injection during the operation. Allowed before surgery (three hours) instead of intravenous give two or three tablets. With an increased risk of developing postoperative bleeding, prophylactic injection of 4-6 ml per day or give six to eight tablets (evenly throughout the day).
