Legends about idols
Despite the existing scientific explanation of the origin of stone statues, a variety of legends go around this place.
One of the myths says that the pillarsweathering is the seven giant brothers who have turned to stone. They came to this region to lead the most beautiful girl of the Mansi tribe. The beautiful woman refused to become the wife of her elder brother and therefore she was decided to be kidnapped. A bloody massacre unfolded between the men of the tribe and the brothers, which lasted all day. First, the elder brother broke the wall of the stone city of Mansi, then he decided to destroy the castle of crystal, the fragments of which were scattered throughout the Urals. The girl rushed to flee from the unloved to the mountains. To stop the giants, the beautiful brother went to a sacred place to ask the spirits of Mansi for deliverance from the very annoying gentleman of his sister. The next day the giants found the girl and were about to take her with them, but at that moment her brother appeared and, with the help of spells received from the spirits, managed to turn the giants into stone sculptures.

The first way is to go there on foot, for this you will have to overcome an impressive distance from the Perm Territory or the Sverdlovsk Region. To go, however, will take a very long time - about 10-11 days. For the lazy, another option is suitable - a helicopter flight from Ukhta with a dressing in Troitsko-Pechorsk. You can get there by helicopter in 4 hours. But the cost of such pleasure, as you know, will be very decent money. If you drive from Syktyvkar, you will first have to get to Troitsko-Pechorsk, and then by car to the village of Yaksha. From there you have to overcome 200 km along the river in a motorboat. At the final stage of the path you need to walk about 40 km.
