Skiing sports complex"Kazan" was opened in 2004 near the place where the rivers Volga and Sviyaga merge, but the other name - the ski resort "Sviyaga" is more popular.
The complex is located 35 km from the capital of the RepublicTatarstan in the Verkhneuslonsky district, near the village of Slavino on the high right bank of Sviyaga. The place is ideal for a ski resort - the multi-level slopes have an orientation to the north and north-west, which allows you to start the skating season at the end of November and continue until April.
Weather
Great weather for skiing and snowboardingbegins from the end of November - early December. Until early April on the slopes of the ski complex "Sviyaga" steadily lies a layer of snow, which does not melt because of the small amount of sun. Usually the snow cover is up to 40 cm. In winter, the air temperature drops to -250, often a strong wind blows from the river.
Trails
Judging by the reviews, the ski complex "Sviyaga" (Kazan) - one of the best in the country, it's no wonder that high-level competitions are held here.
For sportsmen and fans of winter entertainment, there are excellent conditions for quality skiing:
- enough for interesting descents, the height difference at the slopes is 165 m;
- 5 wide tracks from 0.7 to 1.05 km of varying complexity and steepness;
- the amount of snow is regulated by snow cannons, with the help of which a smooth, dense surface is created, convenient for skiing;
- 2 routes for snowtubing;
- 3 lifts.
The slopes of the ski complex "Sviyaga" are artificially raised and end on the river bank, they are all professionally prepared and marked depending on the complexity:
- 3 red lines are rather short: 730 m with a drop of 130 m. However, sudden changes in the height of the route, sharp turns and areas through the forest require experience and excellent ability to ride.
- Green. Its length is 1100 m. The wide track with a drop of 165 m is excellent for beginners. You can go to the track through the tunnel from the administrative building.
- Blue. Its length is 1050 meters with a height difference of 155 m. Suitable for successfully skating. In the places of passage of turns a narrow line requires a certain skill.
For every track of skiers and snowboarderslifts a separate 4-chair lift Doppelmayr. In strong winds, the lifts do not work, athletes are driven to the beginning of descents on buses. For those who are just mastering skiing science, a training slope with a special yoke has been prepared.
In "Sviyaga" you can ride on specialtrails for snowtubing, equipped with long departures, brake dumps, protective nets. In the lower part of the ski complex, there is a Tubing Park where trails for riding on "cheesecakes" are more than 300 m long.
Behind all tracks carefully look after:
- Already at -50 they are covered with artificial snow.
- Every day the snowcatchers smooth the trails to the velveteen state.
- In the evening they are all brightly lit.
Children are not bored in the ski resort "Sviyaga", because for them there is a children's playground, which includes:
- a route with an increased level of safety;
- elevator;
- attractions;
- rink.
In the children's town there are experienced instructors who will teach to skate even the most timid baby.
Infrastructure
On the vast territory of the ski complex "Sviyaga" is everything that is necessary for active recreation:
- rent of sports outfit and inventory;
- the shops;
- a workshop for the repair of equipment;
- parking;
- storage rooms;
- cafes and restaurants.
In the lower part of the Sviyaga there is a spaciousice rink. Settled in the hotel ski complex "Sviyaga", you can go to the sauna or pool, play billiards and table tennis, work out in the gym in the fitness room. Children will be looked after by an experienced tutor in the children's room, where there are game consoles, simulators and books.
A variety of cafes and restaurants are capable ofsatisfy the most refined taste. In the cafe "Kunak" you can try the Tatar cuisine, in the "Eagle's nest" to refresh yourself before going down the punch or mulled wine, and in the restaurant "At the fireplace" it's good to spend an evening.
Accommodation
To the guests relaxed with taste and not in a hurry to leave, at the ski resort "Sviyaga" there are several hotels, they form the resort city "Sviyazhskie Hills":
- the hotel "Cascade" is located at the lower station of the ski lift;
- "Station" is located in the center of the resort;
- "Déjà vu" - near the rental services;
- "Mayak" - near cash desks;
- Alpine wooden cottages with saunas.
The cost of accommodation is from 1500 to 5500 rubles. Not far from the resort there are various recreation centers, sanatoriums, guest houses and hotels.
How to get there
From Kazan ski resort "Sviyaga" is not far, but there is no direct bus service. There are several options, how to quickly get to the place of rest, if there is no car:
- By taxi or with a fellow traveler.
- From the center of Kazan regularly transfers to a ski resort, however, it is better to book a reservation in advance.
- From the bus station on any bus that rides along the M-7 highway, before turning onto the ski resort. Then you have to walk 3 - 4 km.
- From the bus station leaves the bus to Kozlovka. On it you can reach the village of Vvedenskaya Sloboda, then again walk 2 km.
On a personal car from Kazan, you need to go on the road to Ulyanovsk, then along the M-7 highway to the GSOK Kazan signpost.
