History
Bourgas Airport began its history in 1927.At this time, the French airline Kidna, which is currently part of Air France, has signed a contract with the Bulgarian government. It stipulated the conditions for the construction of the radio station. Under the contract, all employees of the new airport should be only citizens of Bulgaria. Already in 1947, the Balkan airlines began operating domestic flights between Burgas, Sofia and Plovdiv. In the 1950s and 1960s, the airport was significantly expanded and modernized, and a concrete strip was also built. The international status of this "heavenly harbor" received in 1970.

In December, large-scale work began on the construction of a new terminal according to world standards. The capacity of this building will be almost 3 million people. There will be located 31 reception desk, the terminal will have an area of 20,000 square meters.
