Titov Victor Abrosimovich was born in 1939 inAzerbaijan The mother of the future cinematographer was Armenian, the father was Russian. In 1954, the family moved to the small homeland of Titov Sr. Victor's youth passed in Rostov-on-Don. After graduation he took an active part in the development of virgin soil. The beginning of a career in some way refers to the years of military service. It was during this period that Victor Titov became interested in theatrical art. Before entering the Institute of Cinematography, his work was limited, of course, only by participation in amateur art activities. But it was in the army that the future director finally decided on the choice of his future profession.
Carier start
Victor Titov entered the All-Union Institutecinematography and became one of the disciples of Mikhail Romm. But soon the famous Soviet director was suspended from teaching. Romma replaced Alexander Stoller.
Titova’s debut work was the film “Soldier andqueen". Then there was the production of the film-opera “Love for Three Oranges”. Eminent filmmakers did not approve this work. The creator of the film, shot on the opera by Prokofiev, was hit by a barrage of angry criticism. But despite the disgrace, a lot of wonderful pictures later created Victor Titov.

"Soldier and Queen"
This short film was created bythe work of Andrey Platonov. She tells of a capricious queen, who, angry at the soldier, handed him a cruel and humiliating punishment. Unhappy must endure beatings for a year. The hero of the film in every way tries to escape punishment. And, fortunately, he discovers that the faithful shoemaker has an amazing external resemblance to the princess. The protagonist of the picture carries out the substitution. The princess finds herself in a modest dwelling of an artisan. The shoemaker's wife is in the luxurious royal mansions.

"Hello I'm your aunt!"
Like other people of art, Titov is oftenremained without work. During one of these forced vacations, he received an offer to make a film based on the work of English playwright Brandon Thomas. The application for the film adaptation of the work of Gorky, which the director had shortly submitted, was rejected. And so he gladly accepted the offer to make a comedy film, which became the pinnacle of his work.
Grotesque, satirical - features of the picture,which created Titov. In addition, he was able to pick up a brilliant acting ensemble. Such prominent artists as Oleg Tabakov, Vladimir Etush tried for the main role. But the director approved the little-known at that time Alexander Kalyagin.
The script for this film was also written by Titov.He is the author of many famous replicas. For example, phrases about Brazil - a country from which many, many wild monkeys are being transported. In the original, the hero did not say such words.

Years after the premiere of the famous comedy onscreens released the series "Open Book". The film is based on the work of Veniamin Kaverin and is dedicated to the work of Soviet microbiologists who first received samples of penicillin. The roles were performed by Ia Savvina, Georgy Taratorkin, Oleg Yankovsky and other famous actors.
In 1982, the lyrical comedy “Leave at Your Own Account” was created, in which the main roles were played by Olga Melikhova, Igor Kostolevsky. A secondary but colorful heroine was played by Lyudmila Gurchenko.
