A family
Vladimir Vasilyevich Ustinov, whose biographydescribed in this article, was born on the twenty-fifth of February 1953 in the Khabarovsk Territory, in the city of Nikolayevsk-on-Amur. When he was 6 years old, his father received a job transfer to the Krasnodar Territory. There he moved the family. Vladimir Vasilyevich has an older brother. He and his father worked as prosecutors.
Education and the army
After graduating from high school, Vladimir got a jobto work at Korenovsky sugar factory as a tool maker, until he was drafted into the army. He served from 1972 to 1974. After returning from the army, Vladimir Ustinov entered the Kharkov Institute of Law and graduated from it in 1978. Afterwards, he defended his Ph.D. in the Moscow Academy on the topic of the fight against terrorism.
Career
After graduating from the Kharkov Institute, VladimirVasilyevich got a job as an intern at the prosecutor's office. Then he quickly climbed the career ladder: he became first simple, then senior assistant to the prosecutor in Korenovsky district. In 1983, V. Ustinov was appointed deputy prosecutor in the Don district, and later - the prosecutor of the Gulchevsky district.
In 1985, Ustinov was appointed to the samea post in Khostinsky district of Sochi, and then he was transferred to Sochi to the post of prosecutor. From 1994 to 1997 Ustinov Vladimir Vasilyevich was the head of the Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation, and then he was appointed first deputy prosecutor of the Krasnodar Territory
Transfer to Moscow
In 1999Ustinov was appointed to the post of Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation and received a transfer to Moscow. Somewhat later, in the same year, he began to fulfill the duties of the Prosecutor General of Russia. In 2000, he was officially appointed by him and entered the Security Council of the Russian Federation.

Ustinov’s activities as Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation
From 1998 to 1999Vladimir Vasilyevich was at the post of Deputy Prosecutor General of Russia. He supervised the department for the supervision of the observance of federal security and inter-ethnic North Caucasian relations. The task was not easy: it was necessary to enforce the law in a difficult regional situation.
Prosecutors fought bandits and terrorism,restored the rule of law in Chechnya. Most of the problems were solved thanks to the principles of Ustinov. He personally joined many complex investigations and conducted prosecution checks.
Vladimir Ustinov - the first of the chiefslaw enforcement agencies that formed the Office of the Prosecutor General’s Office in the new districts and appointed deputies in charge of their work. The main task was to create a single legal state sphere by bringing the regional legal acts in compliance with federal laws and the Constitution of the Russian Federation.
In 2000Vladimir personally led the investigation of the death in the Barents Sea of the Russian nuclear submarine Kursk. V. Ustinov not only attended the lifting of the destroyed ship, but also spoke about the causes of the disaster. He also investigated the terrorist attacks in Volgodonsk and Moscow, conducted the case of V. Gusinsky and Media-Most, as well as J. Goldovsky about the seizure of Nord-Ost and Sibur.

Personal life
Ustinov V.V.married to Nadezhda Aleksandrovna, who is currently a housewife. They had a son, Dmitry, and a daughter, Irina. The son worked in the Presidential Administration and married the daughter of Deputy Prime Minister I. Sechin. Vladimir Ustinov’s daughter, Irina, is an assistant prosecutor in the Khostinsky district of Sochi, where she lives.
Awards and titles
Closed by decree of the President of the Russian Federation in 2001 Ustinov V.V. was awarded for his heroism and courage, which he showed during the performance of a special mission, received the title of Hero of Russia and a special distinction - the Gold Star medal.
Vladimir Ustinov was awarded many medals and orders. among them:
