Let us tell you by the example of Counter Strike, where a significant delay leads to inadequate behavior of game characters (they hang in place, move with jerks, shoot at irregular intervals, and the like) - this is the “lag”.
Players are trying in every way to reduce this delay,so that the game worked faster, “cleaner” and nothing to complain about in case of defeat. The principle of the packet transfer
When transferring data from the server to the computerthe client, that is, your computer, checks this data. One way to reduce ping is to adjust the registry settings, which will “remove” this timer and force the system to accept the packet without special verification.

- In the editor, you need to find the string HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetServicesTcpipParametersInterfaces.
- In each interface field, you need to create a DWORD string called TcpAckFrequency, then you need to set a hexadecimal check mark and a value equal to one.
- Next we go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftMSMQParameters.
- There we are looking for the TCPNoDelay item (if there is none, then we need to create it ourselves), set the value to 1.
After that, you need to restart your computer or network card. If successful, the game should drop the ping and reduce the number of trips.

For many, the technique described above canseem difficult, and some sections in the registry may be completely absent. For such users, a special ping-reducing program was created - Leatrix Latency Fix. This utility works on the same principle, with only one difference - everything happens automatically. After installing the utility, you should restart the computer or disconnect and re-enable the network card.

There is another, more advanced, programto reduce ping. CFosSpeed works a little differently and has a more expanded interface. This program to reduce ping in games allows you to prioritize the packets received, giving an advantage to game content or any other, at the discretion of the end user.
Through proxy
