Igor Shmakov is a Russian film and theater actor.He was born in 1985 (September 9) in Lipetsk. It comes from the family of Elena and Igor Shmakov. In 2007 he was educated at the Higher Theater School BV Shchukin.

Biography and career

Personal life and the tragic finale

Igor Shmakov’s wife, Elena, bore him a son, Ivan.In 2010, the actor was diagnosed with acute leukemia. The body yielded to conservative treatment. Moscow doctors managed to achieve sustained remission. Relapse occurred in November. There was a need for a bone marrow transplant. Fans from different parts of the country helped to find the right amount.

Igor was treated in a well-known clinic.Germany. In February 2011, the donor was found to be 100% compatible with its cells. Bone marrow transplantation was performed in spring. The operation was successful, but after a while there was a second relapse. There was a difficult situation for doctors and families when it was necessary to decide on further actions.

In hematology, this rarely happens,chances of recovery in this situation are significantly reduced. Igor decided to re-transplant from another donor. He was unable to undergo surgery. The actor died in Munich. This happened on October 6, 2011. Igor was buried in Moscow at the Troyekurovsky cemetery.
