Dystopian genre is quite common inmodern cinema. These are Spilberg tapes “Artificial Intelligence” and “Minority Report”, thrillers “I, Robot” and “I Am Legend” with Will Smith, “The Island” by Michael Bay, criticized “The Rippers”, the iconic franchise about the chosen one - “Neo Matrix”, shot by Wachowski.
To film this direction shouldinclude the new painting “Judgment Night”. Reviews of the film are diametrically opposed: from sharp denial to loyal approval. The action in it takes place in the not so distant future, from which less than 10 years separates us. America is booming: unemployment is almost zero, and there is no previous rampant crime. And all because the new government, loudly calling itself in the best traditions of the “Lincoln” era “founding fathers,” declared one of the spring days of the year, or rather, the night of March 22nd, a time of complete lawlessness. This annual action is called “Judgment Night”, reviews of which are better to ask the poor and disadvantaged, for the rich, sitting quietly behind seven locks, cannot touch the hand. During these 12 hours, it is allowed to crack down on anyone: from an unloved chef to a tired wife, or you can just take out your accumulated anger on someone accidentally encountered. Obstacles you will not repair, because the police and all medical institutions in this period take time out.
Should I open the door to strangers?
Safe family Sandin:papa James, mama mary, teenager charlie and the damsel "almost to the grace" Zoe do not expect anything bad from the upcoming night, because the house is under reliable protection of a special security mechanism. Just the sale of these armored systems is the head of the family, who has made a lot of capital on profitable business. The neighbors, nice in appearance, have long been sharpening a tooth on Sandin, for he also “used the expensive equipment” to them. They will have another reason to take revenge on a successful manager. In the meantime, everything goes quietly. That's just my son slightly blundered, letting in (without asking permission from the older ones) into the dwelling of a dark-skinned vagabond, who was being chased by a crowd of dispersed students, hiding faces behind carnival masks. The worst thing to come, many surprises saved the "Judgment Night". Reviews of the picture are interspersed with comparisons. Someone draws parallels with the Oscar-winning "Straw Dogs" or the Fincher's "Room of Fear," in which the audience met the future Bella Swan Kristen Stewart (she played the character's daughter Jodie Foster). And someone found the intersection points of both versions of “Funny Games” by Haneke and the thriller “Judgment Night”. Reviews in these cases are not in favor of the latter.
Not allowed to turn
The Sandin Spouses were played by Ethan Hawke and Lina Hedy.Twice the nominee for the Oscar, the ex-husband Thurman Hawk in recent times not very shine (or the roles he came across are small). Mary Hedy also got a little “cardboard”. Did not become for these actors breakthrough and revelation "Judgment Night". Reviews of the tape mainly relate to the hard story and the absurdity of what is happening on the screen, and not the manifestation of the performing talents of the artists involved in the film. This “doomsday 2013” turned out to be contradictory.Reviews - evidence of that. But one of the main thoughts of the film about the impossibility of complete and irreversible permissiveness, even once a year, will make anyone who watches this film making think.
